Honestly I would bump up the crew number more than anything.

Though the more I think about it, you could make the whole ship basically one large apartment building. I mean each room wouldn't be a room but be an apartment. Apartments set up like today. Though this technically doesn't really change alot since in TNG and VOY some of the rooms we saw are bigger than even my own.

Though you don't need a kitchen if you replicate everything. Unless you ask for it.

5,000. Not a big number but large enough to fill the space and give everyone large quarters. I wouldn't pack it in like a Nimitz.

Yeah poor placement. Everyone sees you entering and exiting the head. So while they can't hear you, they can still time you.
