Ah that would explain its unique flavor. I have to say that since moving to the states I am more impressed with local beers than I thought I would be.

Its funny, you seem to export you crap and keep the best... I smell a conspiracy...

But I still have no idea how Budd and Corrs and that other crap are so popular when you do have such a lovely sellection of nice beers.

Does the pallet of the typucal american change state to state?

Bud and the likes date to back before there was a ready supply of fresh water. Later it became a staple for kids who wanted cheap and easy to get beer and couldn't really complain about the taste. Also, we export the crap because you overseas folks are dumb enough to keep buying it by the shipload full. I don't know why, even people who work for the companies don't really know why. Its funny talking to them from time to time. Best reason I've heard is that it's american and people like to buy american.

As to the pallet, I think its more a matter of regional diet and attitude. Food and drinks are as important as music and culture in a lot of places, where I grew up and where my family comes from this holds very true.

The Big Three Coors, Bud and Miller are all made from rice. Enjoy the shit.

I will enjoy the American microbrews.

Believe you me, I'm positive she knows how.

Oh, wait... you said, "get," not "go."

I had heard that Shiner beer was now available outside of Texas; if you see the black label lager, get it (It's my favorite mid-priced beer). Or any Shiner, for that matter.

I like Shiner Bock a lot, but I haven't any of their other styles.
