On this same tangent, I've recently seen what spoiling a comic book into a movie truly is. I watched Green Lantern on cable, and the experience reminded me very strongly of the time I had a root canal performed without the benefit of anesthetic.

I like Abrams take on Star Trek better than gloomy-growly Batman...

It is true that some ST purists hated the movie because it resembled SW too much... :P

As a fan of Green lantern that movie just pissed me off in a lot of ways.
