Spoiler alert!

Post by IanKennedy »

Well, I've finally got around to changing the way Spoiler tags work on the forum. To start with they will look like they do now, however, when you move your mouse over them the one you point at will turn white. When you move your mouse out again it will go back to black. Now the important part. If you don't force a reload on your browser a forum page you may not update the style sheet for the forum. If this happens then all spoiler text will look like a link (blue text underlined), reload now to make them all look correct.

Example:
This text is invisible until you mouse over it.
Notice that this one does not show at the same time as the one above
Enjoy
Ian

Impressive. I wonder if that will work on a cell phone....

I'm not sure. It relies on 'hover' css styles. I can quite simply change how it works on mobile, differently from desktop. Let me know. How did the old method work on mobile?

I just went on my iphone. If I touch the black spoiler the text shows up white. If I touch the other spoiler the first one goes back to black, but there is no way to get the text go back to black without another spoiler text.

With the old, I usually just hit 'quote' to read them. That was the easiest way for me.
“You cannot play God then wash your hands of the things that you've created. Sooner or later, the day comes when you can't hide from the things that you've done anymore.”

And then Buffy staked Edward. The End.

Thanks Foxx, the old method should still work fine also. I suspect that changing page will make the white go away too.

Had to highlight like normal. Kinda of annoying on the Android. I haven't checked the new system yet.
