Enterprise-The Romulan War series

Post by Mark »

Has anyone else been reading this series? I've downloaded the last couple books to my Nook, and I actually thinks its a pretty good story. It gives a reason why the NX was phased out, and the tech seemed to take a step backwards.

I read the first book. I knew there was another coming out but haven't gotten around to reading it.

I liked the first book. The first book since the Destiny books that I had a hard time putting down.

I read the first one and liked it. Got the second one too but haven't finished it.

I've paged through them at the local bookstore. I keep intending to buy them but never do.. They do seem very interesting stories.

At least it DOES offer an explanation for the reason that SF went from digital readouts in ENT back to analog ones in TOS :) They needed something to backstep the future tech that to the Killer Bs

Okay, finished the last one. Not bad, there. man, the Romulans loved relativistic missiles back then, didn't they.

So my big question is, does it make the war a REAL war? Are there major battles and exploding ships and great advances and terrible reverses and funky good fun stuff like that?

Or is it a case of a bit of a firefight now and again between all the usual stories?
Give a man a fire, and you keep him warm for a day. SET a man on fire, and you will keep him warm for the rest of his life...

I would say... little of both. We've got firefights and ships exploding and reversals and the last part is a big chunk of the Battle of Cheron, but we also have 'usual' stories too, I guess.
