You are a bit right, but I'd still favor his choice of emphasizing over the value of the villain present of the episode over storytelling pinpoints like that, as funny/insightful it would have been. Moriarty is one great villains of TNG, much stronger than Sela ever felt.

That is a good point. While the dynamic does become Picard vs. Moriarty, it is Data who makes the Holmes-like deduction that uncovers Moriarty's plot.Captain Seafort wrote:Blip
