Space, the final frontier

Post by thelordharry »

45 years ago today, StarTrek premiered with a few simple words that inspired generations: "Space, the final frontier."
“To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and
the affection of children...to leave the world a better place...to
know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is
to have succeeded.”

Wow... its been that long.
No trees were killed in transmission of this message. However, some electrons were mildly inconvenienced.

They say that in the Army,
the women are mighty fine.
They look like Phyllis Diller,
and walk like Frankenstein.

I'd say something profound, Mark, but words fail me.

Gene, for all that may be said, thanks for bringing us the Final Frontier.

I remember the 30th and the 25th, which were big at the time.

Definitely way before I was born but my Dad was part of the 1st gen that watched it.

Tsukiyumi, I was going to do a similar avatar... It was The Sisko in Favor the Bold where he says the same line...
