Ditto...I think the MU would make a wonderful long term story arc, but not the basis of the entire series. Hell, could even due an entire Federation ship lost in the MU......in fact, that idea has a pretty good potential for stories. After all, imagine Picard and E-D in TNG lost in the MU, observing the "Alliance". Would Picard violate the PD and help the human slaves? Would he sit back and observe his own species enslaved? I just use that for an example, but I think the potential for great TV is there.
