By the time they the Voyagers reach or is picked up by aliens it will be too badly damaged for the record to be used. But maybe they can trace it back to us.

But couldn't, theoretically, aliens pick it up at anytime, or would we have data from the probes to suggest them coming?

They could, but at that point they'd be so close as to not need the probe to find us. That probe has been flying for 30+ years and is only now leaving the outer edges of our solar system. It'll be tens of thousands of years before it reaches anything interesting, if at all.

One of the sillier things about ST V... Klaa blows up Pioneer with his Bird of Prey. I always imagine some Starfleet guy on Earth sitting up and screaming "Red Alert! There's a Klingon ship right outside the solar system!"
