No one, including myself, ever said anything to that point. That and the Toyota pickup isn't a combat vehicle... its meant for hauling which it does right out of the factory. Before you try to derail someone's point, try reading it first.
Captain Seafort wrote:Likewise with the CR90 - as a cheap, solid cargo ship with a bit of punch you don't need modifications. If you want to turn it into a proper warship, be it with fighters, troops or guns you really need to add extras, but they aren't necessary to make the ship a decent courier ship for mid-to-high value goods.
Out of the factory... the CR90 is good at nothing out of the factory which is its problem. Its fast but its standard design doesn't support enough of any field to be useful.

Pretty much.
Mikey wrote:Yeah, I could see that - a perfect size and maneuverability, as well as loadout when so outfitted, to screen your line ships from waves of fighters. She'd make a damn fine low-threat convoy escort, too.

In general, though, I'd have to say that when rating this ship the ease of modification and available versatility is balanced by the need to make modifications for any usage other than medium-threat (at best) courier.
That remains my number one problem with the ship. It has to be refitted to be good at anything.

I pointed out what it's good at in factory-standard form - medium-to-low volume, medium-high value cargo. She's fast and she's decently armed for her size with a couple of twin LTL. For what is fundamentally a civilian ship, I consider that to be pretty good.

Im with both of you. Its a good alrounder but not good at specific tasks. If you want it as a transport then you'll have to modify it.

It's a perfect multitask craft, able to do anything but it has to be refitted first. The class as standard is nothing special but what can be done with it after market makes up with room to spare.
