Anyone happen to know in which episode of the Clone Wars cartoon that Venator class star destroyers actually made planetfall, landing on the water?
I thought I read somewhere that these ships were capable of water landings and I thought that would be so awesome.
Such a shame we never really get to see ships in all their glory. =\

I don't recall such an incident, but you might be thinking of chapter 5, at the Battle of Mon Cal, when Accies did so.

Ohh, you're right. It was that ship. Not the Venator. Though if the Acclamator can do it, why not the Venator? Especially as the Star Wars universe seems to have total dominion over gravity.Captain Seafort wrote:I don't recall such an incident, but you might be thinking of chapter 5, at the Battle of Mon Cal, when Accies did so.
Also, that clip was kind of cool, but IMO pretty corny. I guess I'm too old for animation or something.
I really think pen and ink animation didn't do those shots justice.
I mean, can you imagine if it were live action/CG?
