SFDebris: An Unearthly Child

Blip

And thus it begins, and a pretty good start it is too. :)

Yeah. I rather like Susan, Barbara and Ian. Excellent point on the First and him about to kill the caveman.

It was that way until Pertwee, IIRC.

I watched the actual eps fairly recently and to be honest they were "different". I'm not sure how to put it really but its prob the pacing and way the eps were structured. I wouldn't personally recommend it to someone to watch as their first intro to Dr Who - especially a "youngster" brought up on shows with modern effect and story pacing. It was still enjoyable to watch but from a more "historical" point of view if you get what I mean.
I'm not sure I'm getting across properly what I mean but you get my meaning?

Not true to established Doctor who structure, but enjoyable all the same?

As it was the first it set the trend but that has changed an evolved over the years so people more familiar with more modern program pacing and layouts would find it a bit strange perhaps. Its still enjoyable but "different"
