Transformers: War for Cybertron?
Saw a gameplay video of this game yesterday and it looks amazing.
The only problem is that it apparently doesn't have customizable controls.
SERIOUSLY????
I can't believe that a publisher would be so negligent as to not include a customizable keymap.
I mean, that's like standard for Windows apps.
I suppose its a result of consolfication, since the game is available for 360, PS3, Wii and both DS versions. Probably makes development easier, but still, how hard could programming some keys be???
I mean that's the easy part.
It might not matter, except there were some complaints that the default controls suck! Which obviously makes me hesitant to drop ~$40 no matter how good the gameplay is or the graphics are.
PC gaming will be dead if publishers keep up this nonsense.
I can only hope they come out with a patch.
So does anyone here have the game? It does look amazing graphically and looks really fun.

I hate consoles.
There is only one way of avoiding the war – that is the overthrow of this society. However, as we are too weak for this task, the war is inevitable. -L. Trotsky, 1939

I can see why.
EDIT: Also, it looks like the gameplay is third person??
Kind of odd..

First person shooter right?
I remember developers often talking about merging console and computer on-line games in order to broaden the audience and let you play with your friends online regardless of the platform. It never makes it past the first beta when the computer players bend the console kiddies over prison style.
Seriously, FPS with a game pad is just awful.

They make a Transformer combat game.
With a Transformer War context
And they make it a FIRST PERSON SHOOTER?
What is wrong with those people? What was wrong with a nice 3rd-person combat game where you transform at will into the vehicule of your choice for speed/flight/size, etc...? That would have been awesome..
Oh well. Hope it's still a good game.

Um... it is 3rd person.
In fact

this is a perfect description of it.What was wrong with a nice 3rd-person combat game where you transform at will into the vehicule of your choice for speed/flight/size, etc.

Forgive me, my Stich, for I have sinned.
I let Tyyr guide me to err.

Meh. I enjoy Halo 2 on the Xbox, so it is possible.Tyyr wrote: Seriously, FPS with a game pad is just awful.
What's annoying is that turning is way slower, but everyone has the same disadvantage. Now if only the Xbox was designed to use a mouse and a streamlined keyboard.

Personally, I find FPS with a keyboard or a mouse far less enjoyable. -shrug-

I never said it's not possible. I've played plenty of Halo, the whole time though I was thinking, "This would be so much easier with a keyboard and mouse."LaughingCheese wrote:Meh. I enjoy Halo 2 on the Xbox, so it is possible.

I've played both, and it is.Tyyr wrote:I never said it's not possible. I've played plenty of Halo, the whole time though I was thinking, "This would be so much easier with a keyboard and mouse."LaughingCheese wrote:Meh. I enjoy Halo 2 on the Xbox, so it is possible.
