SG-1 season 10/Ark of Truth

Post by Mark »

And so we wrap up the story arc with the Ori finally. It was a good call to end the show where they did. Cam Mitchell is ok, but he's just NOT a Jack O'Neill. Again, SG1 manages the impossible and Earth is saved (at least until the next crisis).

I was kind of saddened by the Asguard. That seemed like a very anti-climactic end to them, didn't it? But at least their knowledge and tech will live on as we become......the FIFTH race.

What'd you guys think?

I thought Cam Mitchell was pretty bad ass.

But, then, I'm probably biased due to liking Ben Browder on Farscape. :)

I liked Cam as well. He wasn't O'Neil and to me he didn't try to be.

I fully agree to this. I'm glad they didn't try to make him the "Next O'Neil".

For sure. Don't get me wrong...I LIKE Cam, but it was hard to follow O'Neil and his one liners.

I don't remember the specifics, but I remember the moment he came into his own for me. They'd been in some heavy combat, and made it back through the gate. Everyone else left to debrief and he stopped for a second and said to his machine gun something like "we did good, didn't we baby? Yeah." and walked off.

The man talks to his weapons! That just struck me as something that was both cool, and something O'Neil would never have done.

Good stuff.

For the record, my pistol and I have a lot of conversations. She's quite friendly, actually.

Depending on which end you're talking to.

I liked Cam by the 10th season. I really liked the last episode. What a way to end it with getting stuck in a time dilation device. Sadly scarcely 6 months after I watched Ark of Truth I don't remember much. It was better than Continuum I thought but it wasn't any better than a normal SG 2 parter.

None. They always surrender right before they finish the job and never tell you why.

In FarScape, Ben Browder's character names his weapon.

But what did he name it? Please tell me he gave it a girl's name.... :)

Edited to add : I hope it was "Charlene". ALL weapons should be called Charlene. :) :)

Well it's no Charlene, but it's okay I guess.
