I feel compelled to remind people about this.

That would scare me to death, unless the deer got to me first.

Just saw Predator again last night.

The oh so honorable Pred shot Jesse Ventura's character in the back while invisible with a plasma cannon.

you know, I've backed that scene up and paused it repeatedly; I'm pretty sure the Pred used a disc. Look at the projectile as it hits his neck, and the shape of the hole in his chest after the second hit.

And, of course the Pred was cloaked. Blaine had a damned man-portable minigun. The Predator is honorable, not stupid.

It was more of a case that the pred hit him with a disc/throwing blade first, which stunned him, and then it finished him off with the cannon.

On TV so I couldn't rewatch it. Come to think of it I need to buy that movie.

I'm not really disputing the intelligence of not going face to face with a guy carrying a gun that can fire 6,000 rounds per minute. However the predator is really nothing more than a big game hunter. His tactics weren't honorable (by a human definition) simply efficient. There's nothing wrong with that, just don't pretend its something its not.

Honorable tactics would've been even odds and Predator versions of assault weapons rather than hunting weapons.
