After 3 or 4 per episode for the entire first season? Yeah, me too.

Well it's out now.
There is not a problem in this world that can't be solved without the proper application of a sufficient number of thermonuclear ordnance.

From what I understand, the books tend to be orders of magnitude better than the series (which means they might be halfway decent)

Looks like a trip to the bookstore will be in order before I go to Vegas.

Somehow, somewhere, a not-yet-decommissioned shuttle is shouting "I'm not dead!"

Jeez, I knew Trek was pretty US-centric, but this is just hillarious. Seriously, if he's going to have that little imagination when it comes to names, would it kill him to throw in a Mir or Salyut or Vokshod or Shenzhou?

Hey now, as it is a US author and US-Centric I won't blame them too much for going through the list of US Shuttles first -- it does seem to make sense based on the naming convention established in the show (NX-01 Enterprise, NX-02 Columbia). Foreign names could probably start with NX-08 (hopefully).
