Significance of the Release Date

Post by RedDwarfian »

Who else noticed that the date of the movie's release was May 8th?

Which just happens to be, according to the Star Charts, the day in 2161 that the Federation charter was signed.

I find that quite fitting.

Wow, that was actualy a very subtle Trek refference! Cool. Someone was doing their job right. :)

Damn...........I didn't think Trek writers had THAT kind of subtlety in them
They say that in the Army,
the women are mighty fine.
They look like Phyllis Diller,
and walk like Frankenstein.

I... prefer to look on the more idealistic side, there.

But I think MM&I's thought would be more correct, but it may be Trek writers doing something right, except the release date was the 7th but it was announced as the 8th. It may be a very subtle thing done by the writers that only a Trekkie would notice, if so, Kudos to them.
