Should I get advanced tickets?

Post by LaughingCheese »

Kind of late now I guess, but I'm wondering if you guys think Star Trek will be too crowded this opening weekend to risk buying the tickets at the theatre?

Local radio predicted $100 mil by the end of the weekend.

Advance tix are no concern for me; when you have a 4-year-old and a 1-month-old, you don't get out on opening night. :P

I find myself in exactly the same position these days :) I'm sure we could have arranged for grandparents to babysit etc and made it for opening night but it puts so many people out, it's not really fair.

So many jokes in the office today about people 'boldly going' to the cinema tonight...

Unless you're going to midnight screenings tonight, or prime time screenings Friday or Saturday I doubt you'll have trouble getting tickets.

I'm going TONIGHT...
It's release date is actually May 7th
Check Fandago and it says release date May 7th

Doesn't make much difference to me. I can't go see it until I either find a cheap babysitter or convince my wife she'll hate it so much she decides she's better off letting me go solo.

I know, but I have a class tonight, and going late is just not appealing to me.

Therefore, tomorrow.
