Military science fiction: Ian Douglas

Just finished reading a series of books called the Inheritance Trilogy by Ian Douglas. They were Star Strike, Galactic Corps and Semper Human. He has written two other sets of trilogies that started the whole series, The Heritage Trilogy and The Legacy Trilogy.
I've never read anything of this type, but they are pretty good. It appears the author put some time in on the research when it came to theories on black holes, FTL drives and nano-technology. As soon as I finish the latest ST Vanguard book I plan on reading the other six books.
