I just recently got the Star Trek Stellar Cartography.

We could trade info about quality and accuracy of ST books in the future?

How is the cartography Book?

I was considering getting it just for the updated quadrants info. ^_^

I have just opened it a few days ago and currently checking it out.

The maps have a small number of statistical information with them also (I'll put more when I have checked them all out thoroughly), but referring to the Dominion War it states that in the entire war only 806 million civilians were lost in total. This seems extremely low to me, considering the massacre of at least 800 million Cardassians in the closing days of the war. I would have expected far more casualties throughout the conflict.

Military losses are separate, with 945,000 Allied and 1.18 million Dominion casualties.

I am certainly glad to have it, as it is helpful for my ongoing project. My Star Trek Star Charts book is falling apart from over use, so I will have to replace that at some point, but this looks to be a very interesting set of maps.

The Cartography book arrived a few days ago. I like the Vulcan poster and the federation of planets one as well. I put both of them up in my apartment. :)

I have been looking for this thread for the last couple of weeks.

I added three Star Trek Shipyards books to my collection:
"Starfleet Ships 2294 - The Future"
"The Klingon Fleet"
"Federation Members"

While not enamoured by them, they are worthy additions to my collection, and I will likely get the remaining two of them.
I was a tad annoyed that they had pictured the Akira-class on the front cover and then didn't include it in the book, but that's just down to how my brain functions I guess.
But all in all the books will help me with my own Trek project, at least a little. I use a multitude of sources anyway.
I was surprised at the size of the Discovery-era Klingon ships however. I knew of course the Sarcophagus ship was huge, but not many of the others.
I did notice that the Amazon title for the pre-2294 Starfleet book says 2151-2293, yet the book image itself says 2063-2293, and as it shows the Phoenix I assume the latter is the case.
I also look forward to getting the Borg and Delta Quadrant book.

The Stellar Cartography, I really like the maps, and the fact they included "native" maps for the other powers (Klingons, Romulans, and Cardassians).

I always have issues with reconciling a lot of the information from Star Trek, but I always enjoy having as much of it as I can none the less.
