Best kickstarter ever

Give a man a fire, and you keep him warm for a day. SET a man on fire, and you will keep him warm for the rest of his life...

To think the original Kickstarter was "Give me $50,000 or I eat this bunny."

Also Levar Burton's Reading Rainbow Kickstarter was the fastest ever to $1 million (the Kickstarter's original goal) and on it's July 2nd deadline ended up with $5,408,916 with celebrities like Seth McFarlane promising to donate $1 million.

Here's Levar's reaction when the kickstarter hit $1 million.
"Bible, Wrath of Khan, what's the difference?"

I heard that wasn't even to bring back the show but to create some app you have to pay for.

I don't think you had to pay for it, but it was clear from the description that it was meant to be a website / app.
