So, for my birthday, got some gift cards for Barnes and Noble. Went to the local one in Newington and...
So I now own my very first bits of Warhammer 40K merchandise.
I've read
Fight or Flight,
For the Emperor and am almost finished with
Echoes of the Tomb. And I must say, these are cracking good reads! Cain is just... sometimes I hear Yakety Sax in the background.

Yes, the Cain novels are the lighter side of dystopia and eternal damnation.
Like any other franchise, there are the good (Ike Mitchell and Dan Abnett) and the bad (like C.S. Goto.) There is little WH40k fiction with the tongue-in-cheek nature of the Cain books, though.

I think I've got one of the good ones, Mikey.
In some scenes I can almost hear Yakety Sax in the background.

lol I meant Sandy Mitchell is one of the good ones. I have no comment on the disembodied music in your head.

Rather a good thing. After reading a bit about the Necrons, I've got Walk Like an Egyptian and Steve Martin's King Tut on autoplay.
