Screenplay done by Dan Abnett, yeah it should be plenty dark.

Honestly, in a world that tolerates gorn for the sake of gorn like Hostel something like WH40K shouldn't make people even blink.

And it's not as if they have to sell the project to a production company. I think the fact of GW's self-containment will actually help in this case. Plus Abnett, of course.
