And the Kickstarter project:

Man I wish I had money to donate/order mine.

Beyond just delivering a transitionable competitor to the AR Drone, he hopes to develop this into a full size passenger vehicle.

A little behind the times, isn't it?
I can't stand nothing dull

How so?

Can you point to me any other product, RC or otherwise, that does both?

I'm not sure what you're getting at.

Well, in 2009 a Parajet Skycar was driven through France to southern Spain then flown over the Straits of Gibraltar; the Moller Skycar, while not roadable, is much further along in development; Ken Wernicke's Sky Technologies started in 1990 the development of the Aircar which drives at 65 mph and flies at up to 400 mph and fits in a parking spot. I'm sure there are more examples with which I'm less familiar.

Oh, true.

I guess I was thinking specifically RC.

I was really impressed by its off-road performance, was not expecting those flexible wheels to do well on the dirt.
