That'll keep the numbers way down. Few people have the 45k-60k to burn for schooling just to be able to pilot a flying car.

Edit; That's a for a professional pilot, a personal seems to be about 6k-15k.

Hmm. I wonder if the price is only because of the small number of people who do it? Maybe just teach the skills needed to land the thing safely...

There would be a need for fail proof safety features to prevent flying cars from crashing into buildings.

But I don't even trust regular car drivers. I think we still need to improve that system before we even attempt flying cars. Like harder tests, a system installed into cars that detects when people are using their cell phones and then charges them fines, stuff like that.
