Sattelites are going to like that.
And you could make it a two-way trip by adding in just enough fuel to slow it down enough to fall back down again.

Or just attach a huge rubber band between the ground & the back of the projectile :)

I don't think NASA has yet had its funding cut to the point where engineering solutions by Wil E Coyote are being seriously considered.
