I guess I'm so used to referring to him as "Hephaestus" that I let it slip. He's one of the members of the Roman pantheon that is, in fact, a direct correlation of the Greek precursor, so I usually identify him by the Greek name.

I also refer to the Greek hero as "Heraclus." One of my little idisyncracies.

What happens to the losing looks, can they perhaps be used to depict younger stages or older stages in the lifecycle of this creature? I suppose it is possible, given the metamorphoses some other species on this planet have. hell, even mushrooms do ;)
