ECM, Electronic Counter Measures...
or if you're a layman
The stuff that makes fancy tech stuff not work...
or if you're a Marine
The guns and bombs that break all the fancy tech stuff so that nothing works around you...

With weapons technology, I think we need to look at the biological limitations of the species. I don't know about anyone else, but I imagine these being like Fungal Ents, really slow and heavy, but quite difficult to take down. What would I do in this situation? Well, I can see these Fungal creatures being like organic tanks. fit them with armoured suits, then have small arms dotted around them as well as a very large rifle styled weapon for use against heavier targets.

That's what the creature submission thread and future creature vote thread is for. It'll be tough enough to get image submissions before we limit their physiology. This way we vote on an image then we can limit or expand their physiology.

Here's a thought. What if they don't actualy do their ground fighting themselves? Perhaps they use machines with simple AI systems to do the jobs they're not too biologicaly suited for.
Hell, modern day militaries are experimenting with UAVs and armed robots, so I see no reason that a race far more advanced than us couldn't build such stuff.

Thats interesting, and I really like the idea. That provides a HUGE leeway of creativity with the creation of these "Drones".

I think we have to agree on an image/anatomy before the style of tech can be decided. The types of weapons and tools they use would naturally be influenced by their physiology.

That's what the creature submission thread is for.

Can we get this thread locked.
