Week Four we discuss how the creature reproduces. Because of the choice for week three the creature cannot reproduce by being split apart. However there are several options open still:

Sexual with three parties (A digestion sex)
Asexual and / or Sexual with Two parties
Fertilizing eggs similar to a fish
Mitosis (Would go into a cocoon before splitting)
Spores- an Asexual method
Parasitical after Sexual
Parasitical after Asexual
Spores inhaled by host then parasitical

I picked spores leading to a parasite. The problem with an asexual creature is genetic diseases don't get weeded out by natural selection. But on the other hand you can reproduce faster.

I considered that but I wasn't sure if that would lead to the Xenomorph silliness with one host=one offspring.

If you're worried about the whole weed-out thing then just have it where the spores can mix which means that a being could have as many parents as there are possible parents within range. That would be the ultimate genetic pool.
