Bar Refaeli – Accidental Star Trek Fan

Israeli supermodel Bar Refaeli had the best of intentions in mind when she tweeted the following, so we’ll give her credit for that:

Except for one minor detail.

Abraham Lincoln never actually said it.

Well not exactly.

Abraham Lincoln did say it, but it was an Abraham Lincoln from a different universe. A Star Trek universe.

We’ll also give Bar credit for being a Trekkie too.

That's the quote on the DITL's review for that episode.... :)
Give a man a fire, and you keep him warm for a day. SET a man on fire, and you will keep him warm for the rest of his life...

I suppose now is a good a time as any to come clean.
What does defeat mean to you?

Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

Considering how much people were affected by star trek in their morals and philosophies (not saying it's the case here though) it kinda makes my sad that there is no star trek for todays kids.....

(Or heaven forbid, have grown up with Voyager......)

Did I ever tell you about the time I almost decked a production employee from Jersey Shore?

You know that is a life decision you will live for the rest of your life. That you didn't deck that person from Jersey Shore. Hell it would probably be a highlight of my life if I could deck any of the the cast

It wasn't a cast member, just a flunky. My wife and I were walking on the boardwalk with our daughter - aged 4 at the time - and our infant son in a stroller (pram.) This guy with all the self-importance that a clipboard can induce comes up to us and the rest of the crowd to inform us that we have to move because man-portable lighting rigs were about to be moved through to set up a shot. Of course, there's little room to move as it was a pleasant summer evening on the boardwalk in a very popular Jersey shore resort town, and the douche actually had the temerity to put his hand on my son's stroller and begin to push. I saw red and made some mindless animal noises in advance of an adrenaline tide, while my wife began to declaim loudly how this show has no exclusive rights to the boardwalk or any other real estate, and how her husband wouldn't have to lift a finger because she would kick the guy's ass up Mike's and down Jake's.

*EDIT* To be fair, the former cast member known as "J-Woww," I believe, worked out (before her pregnancy) at the same gym as my wife, who says she's pretty down-to-earth, fairly nice to speak to, and courteous about gym etiquette. So, there's that.

Damn, man. That's a rather high level of douchebaggery he had.
