Yeah, so at the 2013 MLB All-Star game, the league brought in Marc Anthony to sing The National Anthem. Some fans were angry:







Never mind that Marc Anthony is born in the United States (New York City) and is of Puerto Rican rather than Mexican descent.

I love the Pledge of Allegiance, and while I don't condone forcing dogma on anyone - and certainly could never consider requiring someone to reference G-d who doesn't believe in G-d or believes in a manner that doesn't conceptualize a deity in a way that admits the traditional Judeo-Christian G-d - the Pledge happens to be an important component of citizenship.

Despite that it is a hundred years old and the original included a hand salute exactly how Nazis did their salute. Then it was modified to have God in it.

Not that I am saying it should be banned but it shouldn't be forced on people just because adults even myself had to do it.
