I can't speak for the North, but they missed by a long shot with the south.

All I know is that it is very hard to follow some of it... so many colors...
No trees were killed in transmission of this message. However, some electrons were mildly inconvenienced.

I saw rather quickly that they marked Appalachians as speaking in the same fashion as folks out of the Prairie Belt. Not to mention no self respecting Virginian (East or West) would be caught dead speaking in tune with someone out of Kentucky. I know people out of Tennessee feel much the same about those out of Alabama or Mississippi and Louisiana.

Peoria Illinois has its own accent.
