Nope. And given that the only source claiming that is a Provo, the reliability of the claim (or lack thereof) is self-evident. Personally I reckon Lord Lucan was responsible.

Why do you doubt a Provo saying that it was the Provos, if the Provisional IRA as a group never claimed responsibility? The method, the motive (a desperate need for cash to fund arms purchases,) and the supposed killing stemming from the horse panicking and the unfamiliarity with horses of the kidnappers all agree with the PIRA theory.

Of course he wouldn't - Wilder's about as right-wing as a Western European politician gets. But he has recently stated that the U.S. is the "last bastion" of the West against global "Islamization."
