No touch screen is that accurate. You naturally make mistakes, you can go back and recover them but a lot of autocorrects are faster.

I have a trouble typing on mine still. This is the first smart phone I've had since my old Xda II that didn't have a hardware keyboard. Daresay I'll get used to it but I miss having a physical keyboard.

I'm the opposite - I much prefer a virtual keyboard. I still won't have a pseudo-AI typing what it wants instead of me typing what I want.

Spell check should be passive, highlight, underline, whatever, mark my misspelled words. I'll come back and fix them if they need it. I'm rarely in such a hurry to send a text that I can't spare the seconds.

It's far faster for me to just look at what I'm doing and fix something on my own than to check down and select from a list of bot-generated suggestions which have no basis in context.

Honestly, a lot of them are more intelligent than you would think. Ultimately, for me, you have to check over what your typing afterwards or during so having the predictive auto-correct is just an addition to that.

Sort of obviates the need for the feature, doesn't it?

I suppose. I think the thing I like is mine automatically enters correct grammar (I know, I'm that sad that I use apostrophes, colons and semi-colons in text). Otherwise, to appease myself, I'd have to enter the grammar manually.

I do too. I hate text speak especially in forums. The only one I use is 'lol'.

And I never want to do that again, I suddenly feel all, wrong and sticky and bad. I'm going for a shower.

...yeah don't do that. Trying to read text speak is like trying to read a foreign language sometimes. You know it's some sort of retarded English, so you have to figure it out. I think everytime you read text-speak, God kills a kitten...

Well, that's ok, I personally don't believe in the exsistence of kittens.
