Jedi whip

Post by Mikey »

Alright, this is for real. This car - a Saturn Sky convertible - was at my hsop for an oil change today, and I just had to take pics. The owner didn't mind - in fact, he's won a number of "People's Choice" awards at auto shows.

The visor:

The inside of the hood (bonnet) :

The license plate (can't see the center brake light, which shows "The Force" when lit) :

Not bad. I like how he stayed classy. Instead of things like a plastic lightsaber for the parking break.
How many Minbari does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
None. They always surrender right before they finish the job and never tell you why.

Yeah, I'd drive that.

Decent car too.

I don't quite get the painting under the hood thing though. If my hood is any indication that's not gonna last long.

Yeah, they are nice cars. It wasn't (IIRC) the direct-injected turbo model, but still - 170 bhp for a 2800-lb. car with a perfect 50/50 weight distribution ain't bad. As to the hood... *shrug* dunno. They seem to hold up pretty well around here, and the salt air generally wreaks havoc with frames that aren't e-coated and finishes without a clearcoat.

*EDIT* my bad, I went and looked at the pics again. It IS the turbocharged model - about 240 bhp, wide torque curve, 18" chromes, and limited-slip rear differential.
