Psycho Miko rocks!!!

Institutionalized was like a high-school anthem for me, along with songs from Dag Nasty and Doggy Style.

No video, but here's Pantera's Floods; one of my favorite songs. The ending is a beautiful display of skill by the late Dimebag Darrell, one of my favorite guitarists.

Yeah, when I first started listening to them, he was still "Diamond". He changed it on the subsequent album.

Elbow with the BBC Concert Orchestra - Grounds For Divorce

Not sure how well Elbow are known outside of the UK. They recently performed the whole of The Seldom Seen kid with the BBC Concert Orhestra at the Abbey Road studios. Was pretty damn good.

A new song from Puscifer (Maynard James Keenan from Tool) featuring Milla Jovovich on vocals: The Mission.

Very different; very cool. :)

I was driving a box truck OTR yesterday, so I had to put this one up - it was on the radio, and if I had a John Deere cap would've made the experience complete:

3 Libras by A Perfect Circle. :)

Mikey - I remember that song; one of my uncles on my dad's side was a fan of them. 8)

No video, but another awesome song by Puscifer: Lighten Up, Francis.

I strongly recommend this group; the style was rather unexpected to me, and I really liked that. Look up their other videos, especially Queen B. :)

EDIT: Ah, here it is: Queen B. The only music video I've ever seen that uses chess as an analogy. Actually, it's the only music video I've ever seen involving chess at all.

And the badass promo video. :laughroll:

Here you go. For a single from, appropriately enough, the 1984 musical Chess.

Well, what do you know.

Here's a fucking bizarre and funny follow-up video to Queen B.

Seriously, this is some good stuff.

Looks like London really likes Mike Patton. :)

Also, here's Violenza Domestica by Mr. Bungle. 8)

Them Bones by Alice In Chains, one of the best bands to ever exist, IMO. When they came out, people compared them (favorably) to Guns 'N Roses.

I can understand the comparison; at the time, GNR was extremely popular, and some of it is similar (though better).

Examples:

We Die Young, which is rather ironic, considering what happened to Layne Staley,

Sea Of Sorrow,

And, their first real hit, Man In The Box.

By their second album, they made GNR look like a bunch of kids with Fisher-Price toy guitars.

Examples:

Dam That River,

Sickman,

Angry Chair,

Down In A Hole,

Would, which I list as one of my top ten favorite songs,

And Rooster, lyrics by Jerry Cantrell's (lead guitarist) father about the Vietnam war.

And the third (fourth, if you count the EP Sap) album had a completely different sound, notably on:

No Excuses,

I Stay Away, which has a great video,

and, Rotten Apple.

Their final album wasn't really as good as the previous ones, but even the worst of AIC is better than 95% of the crap they play on the radio nowadays.

Examples of the good stuff:

Heaven Beside You,

and the best song on the final album, Grind.

A shame about Layne Staley; they probably could have at least done one more album. :?

After watching all these videos, I realized that Layne Staley looks like Teaos with a goatee.
