He was 168cm tall not 166cm!!! You can messure him if you freeze frame these two scenes and compare him to the data pad visible on the wall.

I'd laugh, except the fact that you're both absolutely correct is a bit too sad.

Tell me about it. It's why I trend to the 'it's just a show. I should really just relax!' side of things.

*bump*

Well, now...

BTW, one may notice at the bottom of the article the note that Kasdan has signed on to co-write "spinoff" films beyond those of the three-ep trilogy.

Good things usually don't happen when people who have moved on from something continue to meddle.

Please not the Vong...

Actually I think the spin offs might actually be better than the trilogy.

I've said it before - so long as the new trilogy isn't those three running round saving the galaxy as though the second Death Star has only just exploded, I don't have a problem with it. Have Luke as head of the Jedi order, Leia as Supreme Chancellor/senior politician and Han as a senior general, and I think it would work.

Agreed. As for spin offs, some of the best stories in the EU were made when they stopped messing with the main cast and spun off. The main story gave us the Vong. The spin off gave us the X-Wing series.

The main story also gave us Zahn's work.

Some of the best stories. The EU to me is a progression of suck that starts off fantastic and progressively gets shittier until it dies with the Vong.

The EU is overblown fanfiction mostly, evident by the massive ships and super weapons.

As distinct from the tiny and harmless Death Stars?

Death Star was a fairly original idea at the time and treated as very special and evil. By bringing out a new "super ship" every series they diminish them and make them a joke.

Stories are character driven and the science is frosting. Not the other way around.

When exactly? The Eclipse was just a big ship with a big gun (and explicitly far weaker than the DS), World Devastators were fancy mobile factories, Darksabre was always portrayed as substandard shit, and I can't think of any other series that introduced any sort of supership. The only example that meets your criteria is the Sun Crusher, but that's one spot of idiocy over twenty years and dozens of novels.
