I'm thinking a bit of a Napoleonic complex. You know how those little guys can get.

I always find the wole "Napoleon Complex" thing somewhat amusing, what with Napoleon not actually being short at all.

It's still a common term. The best Napoleonic complex story I've ever heard was from an old psych professor of mine. When he was a practicing psychologist, he had a delusional psychotic who believed himself to be Napoleon; he paired the patient with another man who had the same delusion. The two patients were left alone for a bit to hopefully show them that they both obviously couldn't be Napoleon. The doc later found them walking down the hallway, one of them two steps behind and to the left of the other. When the trailing man was questioned as to the reason for his position, he answered, "I am Marshal Ney."
