Lastest Travissty cancelled

Post by Captain Seafort »

Read the whinging

Short version - the "canon changes" she was bitching about last time are basically that the Madalorians are pacifists, and have been for centuries, and that Mandalore is a "post-apocalyptic wasteland" (BDZ maybe?).

Sounds like someone at Lucasfilm doesn't like Ms Traviss or her Mandowank.

Wait, so someone basically declared all of Travis' crap to be non-canon?

Fuck yeah!

So, how well is KT taking the deal about how everything she's worked on has just been thrown out the window as if it never happened.

With the hissy fit I linked to - she's been given a sharp reminder that it's George Lucas' sandbox she's playing in, not hers, and responded by taking her ball and stomping off home.

It's about bloody time. People have been pointing out for ages that she's just been reshaping Lucas' universe to fit her own views (let's not get into the whole "the Jedi prolonged the Clone Wars!" bullshit). Hell, even her fellow authors were clearly fed up with her crap (hence the Mandalorian homeworld getting BDZed in one other author's novel).

Maybe now that 3 million clones idiocy will finally die, since her work has been declared non-canon.

What, like competent writing, and respect for the franchise you're writing for?

Very different. this is like saying "You never existed." Ok, maybe not that extreme.
