Turbolifts?
Turbolifts?
Do Star Wars ships have anything like turbolifts? Fast elevators that can move both horizontal and vertical?
I only wonder because of the size of many ships. It would be very unrealistic for repair crews to walk all through the ship... I think.

Getting from one side of the Death Star to the other would require a week's travel.stitch626 wrote:...I only wonder because of the size of many ships. It would be very unrealistic for repair crews to walk all through the ship... I think.
They had some fast "turbolift" type elevators in RotS.

Maybe when they made the movies they didn't realize how big those things were...
And I do remember that elevator. But I don't know if it could have gone horizontal. Which would be fine for traveling up and down, but there's two other important dimensions.

Yes they're called turbolifts.

None. They always surrender right before they finish the job and never tell you why.

Yes, there are turbolifts. They've been seen plenty of times.

Even then, we only see that they go up and down. Not necessarily side to side....RK_Striker_JK_5 wrote:Yeah... like in the first movie. :pRochey wrote:Yes, there are turbolifts. They've been seen plenty of times.

I'm sure that Luke and Han can read Basic, Han was ex-Navy as well. Safe to say he knows how to use a lift.
