Supposedly it's supposed to hold large cargo crates between the two forward "mandible" bits.

I thought I those were concussion missile launchers. Could be wrong, though.

You're not wrong - it's just that concussions missiles (and proton torpedoes to some extent) look like laser bolts.

Presumably Solo had them removed. He was a smuggler, so his loads probably weren't so big that he'd need massive crates on the front.

But the ship wasn't designed for that. It'd be an okay small personnel transport but it sure isn't a light freighter. Neither is the YT-2400. The YT-2000 I could believe (And it looks the coolest). I think I got those numbers right too lazy to look them up.

None. They always surrender right before they finish the job and never tell you why.

Depends on how big a crate you can shove on the front. Personaly I like to see the YT-1300 as a sort of tug vessel, shoving large cargo crates around.

Carrying personnel. I'm saying it works for a small transport but its designed for a freighter.

Yeah but its never been used like that.

Okay. I never said otherwise.

How many standard YT-1300s have we seen?

I know, you asked what I meant I'm explaining. Stop being so defensive!

How many standard YT-1300s have we seen?
Well I think there was one in Shadows of the Empire and I know there were two in X-Wing Alliance.

I'm not being defensive, I've just no idea where this tangent came from. No one mentioned personel up until a couple of posts ago.

Ah, but were they on routine missions?

In X-wing alliance yeah.

Also just look at the other YT models. How exactly can the Dash's YT-2400 push things? :P Or how can the YT-2000 push things without smashing the cockpit? heh. I might be getting those two mixed up but either way. If they're all the same YT line then logically they should be designed with the same purposes in mind.

I like the YT-2000 as well. I've always seen that line not as light freighters but as couriers. Transporting extremely valuable and compact cargoes or people.

Actually, the Falcon was SO modified, she should have her own damned class...............

They look like Phyllis Diller,
