Is Knight of The Old Republic video game Star Wars canon?

Yes.
And yeah they only owned a few hundred worlds. They only knew about a couple of the hyperspace routes so their colonies were extremely spread out among massive distances.

None. They always surrender right before they finish the job and never tell you why.

Known Space is almost flavor of the month in SW, now that I think about it and reread this thread. Even if it is 20 million systems, that's out of 400 billion systems. Boundaries push forward, retreat, push forward again... They blaze hyperspace trails, but also stick pretty close to them as well.

Yes but only the story, not the game mechanics.Nutso wrote:Is Knight of The Old Republic video game Star Wars canon?

Dumb question. What does 'game mechanics' mean?

How much damage a blaster does per hit, different force power usage and damage etc.RK_Striker_JK_5 wrote:Dumb question. What does 'game mechanics' mean?
Edit: And of course the "pause and issue orders" deal. There are people in the VS community that would use that as an argument for or against SW.

LOL, that's silly but not as silly as arguing frame rates of the Falcon rushing the star destroyer in ESB and disagreeing on frame rate speed of TV as opposed to TV.

Old thread on www.gamefaqs.com I laugh at SW vs. ST threads for the most part. Well, not laugh so much as So cliched and done to death.Cpl Kendall wrote:Where'd you see this?LOL, that's silly but not as silly as arguing frame rates of the Falcon rushing the star destroyer in ESB and disagreeing on frame rate speed of TV as opposed to TV.

Yeah. The fire has gone out of the debate, mostly replaced by gross stupidity.RK_Striker_JK_5 wrote:

Indeed, the debate itself was resolved years ago. Unless Lucas does something with the new series that seriously changes the ballance of power then the only ones who will continue arguing are the idiots.

Or a new Trek series and/or film comes out demonstrating significantly improved Fed capabilities.

Re: 3.000.000 Clones and SW2
I never understood why it was wrong to be number two. I like B5 but I know they couldn't withstand Trek. Why does it even matter?
Far as fantasies are concerned my world Elenir could be ground to dust against say World of Warcraft and their magic everywhere and armies of demons. But I'd like to think my story is still a good one.

Re: 3.000.000 Clones and SW2
Christ knows. Nontheless, versus debates (particularly Wars vs Trek) seem to bring some real idiots out of the woodwork who are determined to "prove" their side right regardless of any evidence or logic to the contrary. Unfortunately, Trek seems to be particularly badly cursed with this variety of idiot, with people claiming that Trek, or the Federation in particular, would beat pretty much any other sci-fi power, regardless of the evidence. Why this is the case I've no idea.Monroe wrote:I never understood why it was wrong to be number two. I like B5 but I know they couldn't withstand Trek. Why does it even matter?
