My Battle royal has already passed the other two battles in rounds and blood spilt :P
What does defeat mean to you?

Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

I added the new fire and compartment venting rules into the main rules. They're now official.

Also, while looking over the rules I realised I never specified just what decides whether or not a ship takes a crit. That's now been rectified.

Actually it seems you have two ways to score a crit now. Either by hitting a section and rolling a 12 or 11 depending on weapon power. Or you can throw doubles.
(Well, three ways if you count specifically targeting something)

So after about 15 months of you guys running these things I decided to peak my head into here and read the rules and I read some of the battles. If you guys do another team battle I'd be interested. Though I'm not sure which side I'd be on. I know the most about Federation ships naturally. Though that planned Borg vs Federation looked fun too.

None. They always surrender right before they finish the job and never tell you why.

Agreed.

Monroe, if you want to get into a battle, post in the Battle Sign-Ups thread.

I had a thought about damage.

When a enemy ship suffers damage, the science/ops officer usually scans the ship to determine the extent of the damage inflicted. We could open up a new realm of tactics this way.

If the science officer must make a roll to determine the damage done to a ship, it would allow for a more realistic effect, plus enemies could "jam" your scan to hide damage and maybe "play possum".

I found a 'sparknotes' version of the rules this game was originally based on a few months ago and have been kind of sifting through them. I thought the Tractor Beam/ Bording party rules were pretty interesting and I know that you used to have rules for that kind of thing so I've been working on outfitting a set of rules for these to go along with my shuttle rules as an addition to the game. If a couple people want to do a small little battle to test these rules out that would be great.

I'll get them posted when I get home so you guys can critique them before they go into service.
