The Earth/Romulan War Episode I OOC Chatter

Post by Sonic Glitch »

The thought Mark and I had was to do things in a much more episodic nature than previously, each mission is only one part of the tale of the Romulan War which we will further flesh out. This thread is for the OOC chatting that goes on relating to our first mission.

Ok, since I haven't heard anything from anybody, I've made Sinclair the Armory Officer/Security Chief.

Have we agreed on the Aegis then?

I'm working on "The Story So Far", and I need a final cast of characters. Please got your characters posted Sonic, Relaint, Stitch :poke:

I'll try to get my Andorian up tomorrow. If not, he's won't be aboard the Aegis so we can launch without him.

Ok gang....I've got up the "Story So Far."

Tell me what you think. I've also posted a final version of the USS Aegis stats, and final crew assignments/positions as I understand them. Feels free to correct me if I screwed something up.

I like it! I'll get Federov's bio up shortly. Are there any character positions left open? I was going to through in a Lt. Stiles just because I can ;) possibly as a helmsman? Think of it this way, we have a built in Red Shirt.

Now, for the tougher question: Do we want the mission to be search and destroy or search and rescue?

We need to make a couple choices here. We've got plenty of room for Mr. Stiles as well. We need someone to fly the ship, a communications officer, and a Doctor.

Do we want to separate helm and navigation as in the Connie class, or leave them all in one position?

Do we want to have the Armory Officer function as both Weapons Officer AND Security Chief too? I'd say search and destroy, or a scouting mission, as I don't think the Romulans are keen on taking prisoners.

One more thing, can anyone remember if lasers (hand weapons from the Cage) can be set to stun?

I almost teared up there. Great ending, even for a short summary.

I think at this time, helm and nav would be two positions, to work with the updated tech from the NX.

No idea if lasers can be set to stun...

Went a little higher on the warp speed capabilities than we'd discussed, but no big deal in any event. It's a little odd how the Daedalus-class was the result of our mission, but if that's the way it is then I'll write up Harvey's involvement in his intro post.

Lol, by brain doesn't work well in fractions. Earth had warp 5, then suddenly warp 7. It only makes sense that somehow we had warp six. We can always adjust it in real time gaming.....ie the NX could hit warp 5 in theory, but doing do made things start to shake apart.

NP, it probably won't affect anything anyway. What you say makes sense.

We waiting on anything, or are we good to start intro posts?

I say go for it. I may not have a new bio up but we know the story of the captain so just remember in any early pre/during launch interactions, he wanted to get the Buran crew back together again -- because they're good at their jobs clearly ;) {and in a few short days survived more than many of the fresh replacements from the academy}
