Turn 7 - Tac

Captain Stitch executes another broad sweep of weapons fire, shooting the ships phasers out to port where the Scimtar had been, however nothing was there. The shuttles also let out a barrage of fire to starboard searching in vain for the Scimitar. The search is capped off with full salvos from all torpedo tubes forward and rear in a wide dispersal, but nothing hits.

Again deciding to take advantage of his invisibility, Captain Seafort orders all weapons fired at the Leeroy. With, the Disruptor gunners still on strike, their replacements are not up to the mark as the bolts again fly wide of the ship. The ship shimmers again off the Ventral side of the ship as four salvo's of torpedoes are launched five of the eight torpedoes impact the ventral shields, they hold, however the impact causes a fire to break out in forward engineering.

Turn 8 - Tac

Captain Stitch keeps up the relentless search Firing off the main phasers to the dorsal side, they sweep through, but nothing is found. Next he orders the torpedoes fired in wide dispersal. The forward tubes all disappear into the inky black of space, as does the first aft tube. Stitch is about to give up when the first torpedo of the second salvo too disappears, but is mildly surprised when the large shape of the Scimitar flickers into view as the last three torps hit it. They overload the starboard generators, and deal damage to the Starboard section, and the starboard wing, destroying it's last disruptor. The fighter pilots on the starboard side, shoot out their weapons in a fruitless search, however the Beta flight shuttles do much better. The six pilots shoot phasers, at the flickering mass. four of the shuttles land their beams on the ship, hitting the starboard wing. The shuttles also fire off all the micro-photon torpedoes they can, and four amazingly hit.

With his cover blown, at least for now, the Scimitar fires the starboard facing disruptors at the Sovereign, however the bolts fly wide of the mark once again.

The Scimitar is undetectable in the void.

Status:

Alpha and beta flights are about 100 m away from the Aft section of the Sovereign.

Turn 9 - Tac

Captain Seafort starts off this time, he orders all forward facing weapons fired. The ship flickers to life just a thousand kilometers off the aft of the ship as the disruptors come to life. Recently back from their strike the gunners nail the aft shields quickly overloading their generators, and leaking through, destroying the Aft phaser arrays, and causing severe damage to the section. The photon torpedoes lash out next, the first two go wide, but the remaining six all make contact with something. The first one flies right into the fleet of shuttles destroying all of Alpha flight, the next three all hit the aft Engineering section, turning it into space junk. The final two each strike a nacelle.

Captain Stitch capitalizes on the Scimitar's appearance, ordering all weapons and shuttles to fire. two salvos of photon torpedoes shoot out at the shape of the Scimitar, the first shooting under the ship, however the next one makes contact with all four torpedoes. The first strikes the forward section, the next one hits the Port wing destroying it's last disruptor, and the final two find their mark in the Starboard and Port sections, destroying one torpedo tube in each section in the process. The phasers lance out next striking through the middle of the ship and landing in aft engineering, destroying two torpedo tubes, and all disruptors. The blast also forces the engineers to panic as the WC goes critical, they are able to get it back under control however several of the team get vaporized in a power surge. The shuttles fire next, and amazingly all 10 hit the ship. They all strike the forward section, severing it from the rest of the ship. The micro torpedoes come next, half of which find the ship, the first one streaks through the middle and strikes aft engineering. two more hit the port and starboard wing each, followed by two to the starboard section and three port destroying a disruptor in both sections. By some miracle, the cloaking device stands up to this barrage and the ship disappears again.

Turn 10 - Tac

Captain Stitch orders all fighter wings to fire at the Scimitar, as well as all of his own weapons fired. His phasers lash out first, though their sweep comes up empty. Next come two salvos of photon torps they're fired on a wide dispersal and this allows five of the eight torps to land on the ship. one lands each on the Port wing, port section, aft engineering, starboard section, and starboard wing. Next comes the quantum torps, half of which miss the ship, however the other two hit, one hitting the starboard section, the other the port, vaporizing the last of the forward facing disruptors. The second torp also destroys the starboard sections last functioning torpedo tube. The shuttles lash out with their weapons also, the six pilots all manage to strike the ship with their phasers, half of them hit the aft engineering section, and causing the cloak to go offline. The shuttles also launch torps, but only one pilot was able to hit the ship, landing two torps into aft engineering.

Just before his disruptors go down, Seafort orders them to fire, lashing out at the Sovereign and peeling off it's forward shields. Next come the torpedoes also making it out just before the tube is destroyed. all four torpedoes hit the Sovereign, two hit the starboard saucer, another the port and the last strikes the forward saucer.

Turn 11 - Conn

Captain Stitch turns to the helms officer with a gleeful smile on his face, and orders him to maintain position relative to the Scimitar.

Captain Seafort however has other ideas, with his ship exposed, he orders his ship full ahead to try and get behind the Sovereign where her weapons are weaker. The ship charges ahead, but no matter how the helsman tries to maneuver, and he tries everything in the book and then some, the Leeroy maintains it's distance and position.

Status:

The two ships are facing each other approximately 150,000 km apart, the Sovereign's Beta flight is 300 m off the forward hull.

The Cloaking device is still damaged.

Turn 11 - Endgame

The scimitar fires it's only functional weapon, the port section torpedo tube, in a desperate attempt to instill some damage. In a stunning display all four torpedos hit, though none of them hit the same target. The first hit the port section, followed by the starboard section, forward engineering, and the forward saucer.

The USS Leeroy leans into the attack literally launching everything it has. The Phaser's lash out first striking the port wing, blowing it off the ship. Next come two salvoes of photon torpedoes, and all eight hit the ship. The first strikes the starboard wing, followed by two more to the starboard section. The next three hit the port section, and the last two, Aft Engineering. leaving it as little more than a teather between the two sections of the ship, amazingly however, the Engineering crews are able to save the core from going critical, seconds before the blast incinerated them. Next came the salvo of Quantum torpedoes. The first two slam into the starboard wing, turning it to dust, the next two strike the port and starboard sections destroying the last forward torpedo tube, and leaving the sections in shambles. The phaser pilots strike out next, four of the craft phasers hit two to each the port and starboard section. Finally the craft micro torpedo tubes. seven of the torpedoes find the mark The first four hit the port section, turning it into a crushed hump of metal, the next two hit the starboard section, leaving it rather unrecognizable. The last one flies straight through the ship striking the aft engineering section, and detonating the warp core. The ship is blown apart in a blinding white flash, destroying what was left of the port and starboard section. The blast also ripped into port and starboard engineering. ripping off the outer hull of the ship, and causing massive breaches all along the sections as they flew away leaving bodies of the crew. A few moments later secondary explosions rocked the two masses as they flew apart in two smaller bursts of light.

The USS Leeroy stayed still for just a moment, then slowly it moved forward, surveying the scattered field of debris and bodies, searching any large piece for bio signes, after an hour search, the captain is no where to be found. The Leeroy comes about and jumps to warp heading back to space dock.

well, it was messy for Seafort. Stitch still has three functioning shield grids, and other than the Aft section, which was completely destroyed, he really had no problems but scratched paint.

Wow!

To be honest, while great as a wargame, not very accurate to the film. Hey Seafort, if you want a rematch, I'm up for it. this time though, I'd say the Scimitar starts cloaked.
