DITL Battle #2 Comments

I believe Mark has abandoned ship, and the first battle has come to an end, so this thread will serve the same purpose as the DITL Battle #1 Comments say it will concentrate on the new battle.

Looking at the match up:

my Defiant has the advantage in:
Beam Wepons
Maneuverability

Tsuki's Norexean has the advantage in:
Torps
Wepon Range
Shields
Armour
Speed

I hope I can last long enough to see round two :P

enjoy>

Now, now Rochey, as game master it's your duty to be dispationate and unbiased and give no inkling of which way the engagement might go. The fact that the Defiant's massively outmatched and I'd be astonished if your prediction doesn't true doesn't change this. :P

If it was me, I'd be begging to use the Defiants manuverability to get into a blind spot REALLY quickly, going completely evasive until I got there. No way would I go head to head.

I'll be nice to Staplic and start the two ships off relatively close to each other, so he can take advantage of the ship's speed and maneouverability to perhaps keep out of reach of the Noraxean's heavier guns.

What's your thoughts about an asteroid field? That would give the smaller ship a bit of an advantage, wouldn't you say?

It'd be rather difficult to factor that in while retaining clarity. Maybe at a later date, but for now I think we'll just keep it in open space. It prevents headaches.

Besides, unless you want to use something like the Hoth field, it'd be far too sparse to have any effect anyway.

agreed, but because of the size difference Tsuki should have atleast a -1 to hit. I believe we've agreed on that fact, but I'll have to PM him again to make sure.

my Defiant has the advantage in:
Beam Wepons
Maneuverability

Tsuki's Norexean has the advantage in:
Torps
Wepon Range
Shields
Armour
Speed
Slightly off.

Defiant
Beam Firepower : 1,400
Torpedo Firepower : 2,150
Weapon Range and Accuracy : 810
Shield Strength : 880
Hull Armour : 3,400
Speed : 955
Combat Manoeuvrability : 8,660

Norexian
Beam Firepower : 1,100
Torpedo Firepower : 3,750
Weapon Range and Accuracy : 1,100
Shield Strength : 1,200
Hull Armour : 1,200
Speed : 2,184
Combat Manoeuvrability : 3,700

You beat him in phaser power (barely), hull armour (a good amount), and maneuvering ability (by a whole lot).
He beats you in torps (by a bit), accuracy (not too bad), shields (a good amount), and speed (by a fair bit).

Are these precise scientific terms you're using stitch? :P

I prefer Rochey's more exact terms, like the metric fuckton :poke:

You guys should name your ships. It gave a bit of personalization for me and Stitch.

BTW, if anybody can name where from Trek, I got the name Cluster from, you'll win a dozen friggin' cookies

Hmm. Enterprise or Voyager - they were both clusterfucks from start to finish.
