Yeah, I've been watching the battle of Ragnar on YouTube, and seeing the same thing. I think I must have been remembering the rough arc of the old Galactica's pylons, and assumed that the new one had curved ones. With that sort of shape they'd have to slide in along the line of the arc, which would leave the belly of the pods forming the ship's flanks. Moral of the story - better observation is required.

No problem, easy mistake to make. I'd probably have believed you if I hadn't happened to be watching the pods retract just as I read that. :)

Here's an interesting technical tit-bit. Prior to the Battle of Ragnar Anchorage, the Galactica pulls a 90o turn in about 5 seconds. Pretty nifty for a ship that big.

I just loved watching the amount of damage Galactica can take and just keep on going.
