Suspension of Weyoun the Dancing Borg and thread deleted

Post by Graham Kennedy »

A warning has been issued to Weyoun the Dancing Borg for starting a spam thread in the TNG forum. The thread in question has been deleted.

Hmm, and now a second warning plus a one week ban has been handed out to Weyoun for posting obscene images to multiple threads.

The one week ban is quite likely to become permanent once the admin/mod team have had a chance to discuss it.

Thanks to those who sent me a heads up on this happening; we got to it and repaired the damage very rapidly!

Well, Weyoun has been given several chances to explain his behaviour. He replied by repeatedly spamming the caption competition on top of his previous siliness.

His ban has been upgraded to permanent. Our second board expulsion.

Given the out-of-character nature of his behavior and his long absence followed by the current crap, I tend to think you've deactivated a hijacked account. C'est la vie.

Boo on bad vibes. Why would anyone hijack one of our accounts?

I should point out I've known Weyoun a long time, and though we've never been best buds he's always been a decent guy. I can only imagine the sudden weirdness indicates that maybe he's gone away for a couple of weeks and an idiot brother got hold of his account or something.

In any case the account is still there, just permanently suspended. If he emails me or Ian in the future we'd certainly reconsider the ban.

Given his unusual and out of character behaviour, I agree that it was probably a hijacked acount.

I wouldn't put it past Blackstar, especially given his comments about revenge and then this sudden incident...

It wasn't Blackstar. This we're certain of.

Only if he went to his house and posted from there. The postings came from his usual posting location.

Blackstar already tried to get back onto the forum at least once. Let's just say that his self proclaimed hacking skills turned out to be somewhat... imaginary...

He tried to "hack" his way back in?

I wonder if the name was anything like I'm not blackstar, or was he less obvious then that?
