Most Aesthetically Pleasing Ship

Post by Bryan Moore »

Haven't seen a topic like this in a while...

What class of ship do you think is the most aesthetically pleasing design? It doesn't have to be a practical design, or even a realistic one, just the one that looks the best.

For me, Refit Constitution is just beautiful all around. I'd say Miranda and Soverign classes round out my podium.

As far as alien ships, there's something I love about the K'Tinga Class (with full hull art) above any other design. I also thought the Norexan-class Warbird was the nicest of the Post-TNG era ships.
Don't you hear my call, though you're many years away, don't you hear me calling you?

First place has to be the Connie, with the Sov and Negh'var filling out the top three.

Constitution-class. Original or refit.

For me it is the Excelsior. Has a nice, sleek look for a big ship. And from certain angles, the Akira and Intrepid are very close for the top spot.

For non-Federation ships, it would be the Vor'cha.

I'm going to second the Excelsior for Fed ships. For non-Fed ships, I will probably be in a minority of one but I'm going to say the Ferengi D'Kora.

Hmm... I might like some of Klingon ships better, but now that I ponder it? I honestly can't think of any other non-Fed ship I'd rate above it.

I have a lot of love for the Ambassador, I don't know exactly why, just I always have. I also like the Miranda and Excelsior.

For non-Federation ships, the Vor'Cha, Galor, and D'Kora are my top three.

Definitely a tie between the Galaxy class (it WAS my first actual toy from the Star Trek franchise), the Sovereign and the refit Connie. If I HAD to pick between those 3, it'd be the Sovereign. Hands down.

The original Romulan Bird of Prey, because it has a bird decal on it.

I really like the Nova, kinda the modern look with a few odd lines in there.

Never liked the Connie as it looks unbalanced. The Galaxy is but ugly as well.
What does defeat mean to you?

Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

I'd have to say the Norexan. Even though they didn't amount to much and were in a movie I didn't care for, the look just somehow says "predator".

BUT I really like Nebula, Akira, NX, Vor'Cha and Valdore/Mogai/Norexan class.

You've been saying that for the past decade.

I'll say the same thing I have for the past decade - the refit-Connie is the most beautiful ship in sci-fi.
