Star Trek Cat Cartoon Parody

Post by Talondor »

I have no idea why, but this afternoon when my cat came into my room I was reminded of a 70's cartoon parody of star trek, but with humanoid cats. The starship was a standing cat with both pairs of legs slightly spread, with nacelles on the feet of each. This is the only part of the cartoon I remember. But when I looked around on the internet tonight, the only mention of a cat on a star trek cartoon was the one from the TOS cartoon.

Is this cartoon real, or am I just imagining it? As I was thinking about this tonight, I also seem to remember a similar cartoon at the same time that was a parody of MASH, but with dogs called MUSH.

Crystal meth is a hell of a drug.
I can't stand nothing dull
I got the high gloss luster
I'll massacre your ass as fast
as Bull offed Custer

Heh. I laughed out loud at that one...
Don't you hear my call, though you're many years away, don't you hear me calling you?

I did a bit more research and was able to find cartoon from 1975 called "The Secret Lives of Waldo Kitty", about a anthro cat who has weekly adventures as various characters, such as Robin Hood, Tarzan, and the Lone Ranger. One of the episodes was called "Cat Trek". It only ran about 13 episodes, but you can get it on DVD. This must have been what I remembered, and was not imagining things (or on meth).

I did not find a picture of the cat-ship I was talking about, but I did find this:
